His buildings in Austria for the very rich Greek family of Sinas, that influenced decisively his successful course. George Sinas gave him the opportunity to start his career with the very important observatory of Athens and later called him in Austria and helped him to work and to acquire the necessary interfaces, that were important to manage finally to create his most famous buildings in Vienna. The building of  the Athens Academy that was a donation o Simon (George) Sinas kept his connection with Greece, while he was living in Austria. For the supervision of this building, Hansen brought in Athens his student - cooperator Ernst Ziller, who based on Hansen's lines, is nowadays considered as the most important and productive architect of the Greek neoclassicism.

Useful Information for English speaking Visitors (more pictures inside): Exposition for the neoclassical architect Theophil Hansen,  22/10/2014 - 18/01/2015, Vasilisis Sofias st. 9, Athens. Theophil Hansen, born in Denmark in 1813 was one of the first architects, that created the specific Greek neoclassical style inspired from the original ancient classical monuments of Athens. He started his career in Athens with the observatory of 1842 opposite to the Acropolis and he is the architect of  the worldwide top neoclassical buildings of  the National Library and the Academy. After his first steps in Athens, with the help of members of the Greek community of Vienna he moved there and he managed to build more important buildings like the Parliament. Ενημέρωση: Κατεδαφίστηκε το 150 ετών (1860) Β' Γυμνάσιον Αρρένων Αθηνών - "βίλα Αμαλίας", με ευθύνη Καμίνη και Ο.Σ.Κ. Βαφτίζουν ένα νέο άσχετο κτίριο ως ανακατασκευή. Ως ευχάριστη είδηση αναμεταδίδεται η καταστροφή του εσωτερικού ενός ακόμα κτιρίου στο κέντρο της Αθήνας!

Εγκεφαλικό μας ήρθε όταν είδαμε μπουλντόζες να σαρώνουν το εσωτερικό ενός ακόμα κτιρίου στο κέντρο της Αθήνας και αυτό να προβάλλεται αβασάνιστα ως καλό. Η διατήρηση κελύφους κοντεύει να μην αφήσει κτίριο όρθιο στο κέντρο της Αθήνας και ουδείς φαίνεται να έχει αντιληφθεί ότι ελάχιστα απέχει από μια κατεδάφιση του 1960, που υποτίθεται κατηγορούν όλοι.
